The DBE Landscape Has Changed: What Your Firm Needs to Know

The rules for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification have fundamentally shifted. The U.S. Department of Transportation’s new Interim Final Rule has eliminated race, sex, and national origin as automatic qualifiers for DBE status and mandated a reevaluation of certified firms and DBE contracting goals – changes that will significantly impact the procurement landscape.

If your organization works on federally funded transportation and infrastructure projects, understanding these new requirements isn’t optional. It’s essential for maintaining compliance and staying competitive.
