Los Angeles County Chapter Membership

As a member of the Los Angeles County Chapter of ACEC California, you will be kept well informed on the latest legislative issues affecting your firm.  The Los Angeles County Chapter holds monthly luncheons, provided to your firm at a member-discounted rate, featuring owner / client capital construction programs. We have many Liaison Committee meetings with key local agencies, including Caltrans, City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Port of Los Angeles, Port of Long Beach, Small Business, and Los Angeles County, that you will receive meeting notices about and are welcome to attend.  We also have highly active committees, including:

Membership Eligibility

ACEC Los Angeles County Chapter is a firm-based association. Accordingly, only firm memberships are available where all employees of an eligible firm are considered ACEC members. To enjoy the benefits of full membership, a firm must:

  1. Provides independent consulting engineering or land surveying services for clients on a fee basis.
  2. Have one or more Individual Members who is a Registered Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor or Geologist in the State of California (Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists).
  3. Maintains an established office(s) for the practice of consulting engineering or land surveying in California.

Firms that do not meet the requirements above can be eligible for Affiliate Membership.

Legislative Representation.

ACEC Los Angeles County Chapter provides a strong, unified voice for the private engineering and land surveying communities on local, state and national legislative issues. The American Council of Engineering Companies Political Action Committee supports worthy candidates and causes throughout California.

Networking Opportunities.

Meet and foster crucial business contacts at our monthly luncheons, scholarship golf tournament, and achievement awards banquet.

Promoting the Professions.

ACEC Los Angeles County Chapter strives to promote and recognize the accomplishments of private engineers and land surveyors through its Achievement Awards, a strong public relations program, and our Student Scholarships Program.
